100. Aesthetic movement chair in marbleized velvet
In the style of designer/architect E.W. Godwin, this pretty little ebonised chair dates back to circa 1880 and the Aesthetic movement. The seat has been recovered in Beata Heuman’s lauded ‘Marbelized Velvet’ fabric - a luscious swirl of colours and pattern. The fabric is inspired by the marbleised papers used to line furniture and books in the 17th Century.
This charming chair is antique and shows sign of wear on the ebonised wood - please ask for more photographs if you would like a detailed shot. The chair is most suited to decorative purposes rather than day to day sitting!
